Obituary of Elsie Esther Gusey

Elsie Esther Gusey ~ 95 Vancouver, Washington March 25, 1921 ~ August 10, 2016 Life-long Clark County resident, Elsie Esther Gusey, passed on August 10, 2016 at her home in Hazel Dell, WA at the age of 95. Born at home in La Center, WA on March 25, 1921 to Finnish immigrants Matt and Fiina (Kosonen) Alanko, she was a homemaker and over the years, enjoyed traveling, gardening, her grandchildren and their activities, her cats, and neighborhood squirrels. She married Lester Gusey in 1946, and later divorced. She was predeceased by a sister, Aili Alanko, and is survived by siblings Tauno Alanko and Elvie Walker, her children, Dennis Gusey of Ocean Park, WA, Daryl (Marla) Gusey of Clackamas, OR, and Lois (Hal) Fich of Hazel Dell, WA, her grandchildren, Jon (Kim) Gusey, Aili (Harley) Gordon, Gabe Gusey, and Eric Fich, two great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, her cats, Tucker and Shadow, and several nieces and nephews and their families.
