Obituary of Violet Leano Ohman

Violet Leano Ohman ~ 89 Vancouver, Washington March 27, 1927 ~ September 21, 2016 Violet Leano Ohman was born in Gering, Nebraska on March 27, 1927 to Willis Lane and Mary Ouderkirk Lane. She passed away September 21, 2016 in Vancouver, Washington. Violet enjoyed painting, both oil and watercolor, ceramics and wintering in Mesa, Arizona during her retirement years. She was a member and Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Lackamas Chapter, Washougal. She was a member of the Oregon Ceramic Association and taught ceramic classes for many years. In 1945, Violet married Donald Boettcher who predeceased her in 1971. In 1976, she married Fred Ohman who predeceased her in 2006. Violet was also predeceased by her Parents, Daughter; Marianne Boettcher and two Sisters; Daisy Holtsclaw and Rose Coder. Violet is survived by her Daughters; Carol Boettcher Baily (Russ) and Judy Boettcher Sanford (Richard) and Stepson Fred Ohman Jr. (Francelle). Grandchildren; Travis Giesler, Brian Giesler, Benjamin Sanford, Daniel Sanford, Thomas Sanford, Jenny Ohman (Richard Ching), Tauni Volker (Roy). Great Grandchildren; Brittnee Giesler, Madisyn Giesler, Joshua Sanford, Wolfgang Volker and Max Volker. Great Great Grandchildren; Raelynn Giesler and Alivia Patterson. A Memorial Service will be held at The Quarry Senior Living, 415 SE 177th Avenue, Vancouver, Washington on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. The Family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
