Alisha Beth (Miller) McRay
August 14 1976 – June 16 2017
Alisha lived by the words of John 3:16. She also spoke of believing in John 3:29
“He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.” Jesus is the bridegroom who loves the church, his bride. Alisha went to be Christ’s bride, dancing with the Angels, forever in her Father’s peace and glory. Beloved daughter of Darrel and Cheryl Miller, and beloved sister to Tami and Sherie. Survived by Kyle, Levi, Joseph and Grace McRay.
Alisha grew up with an interest in teaching. She graduated Clark College and continued at WSU (Vancouver) focusing on becoming a teacher.Alisha truly enjoyed working as a teacher’s aid with a special needs class before becoming a mother. Alisha felt God had prepared her to be an ACTIVELY loving mother to her 3 precious children: Levi (13), Joseph (11) and Grace (7). Alisha enjoyed giving her children the experience of farm animals and riding horses by visiting many local farms open for children visitations. She home schooled her children until 2 years ago through a program with Wash. State. Alisha served along side other home school parents at a community based program known as Friday School; she enjoyed teaching craft and gym classes. She treated the students with attentive compassion. Alisha felt the joy in showing KINDNESS and support for the individual needs of the children as she interacted with them.
Alisha grew up with 2 sisters Tami &Sherie. As adults all 3 enjoyed spending time together. They felt like best friends, enjoying laughing together, trips to the beach and the closeness in understanding each other as sisters do. Alisha was quick to smile, soft spoken and witty in humor. Alisha was a woman of prayer, be that of her children, family, friends or strangers in need. She lived her life “unashamed” of her faith in Christ.
Alisha’s 3 precious children Levi, Joseph and Grace were the ABSOLUTE LOVE of her life. She felt joy every day, listening to them play and generously giving and receiving hugs. Alisha never failed to end each day without encouragement and prayers with each individual child. We cherish the moments and memories we had together until we see you again in Heaven. A memorial service was held on June 24th at Grace Foursquare Church in Camas. Interment was at Skyline Memorial Gardens on July 8th.Preceded by: beloved Aunt Judy Mansfield, Grandparents, James & Irma Mansfield and Fred & Violet Miller.
The Miller family extends heartfelt thankfulness to all of the community for their overwhelming support and prayers.
