MARY HELEN WENTHIN
December 14, 1938 ~ March 11, 2015
Mary passed away gracefully at the age of 76, with her family by her side. Mary was born in Vancouver, Washington. She was one of two daughters of Ewald and Helen Yinger. Mary lived with her loving husband, Walter Wenthin, in Ridgefield, Washington. She is survived by Sandra Miser, Nancy Darrah, Daniel (Donna) Hankins, Wayne (Kim) Wenthin, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, along with many others who knew her as 'Grandma'. She is preceded in death by her sister, Arlene Larson, granddaughter Amber Hankins and step-daughter Kathleen Wenthin.
Mary retired after working many years for the City of Vancouver as a bookkeeper. She worked as a landlord, and was known for her generosity as well as the mothering role she exemplified. Mary enjoyed her family, friends, reading books and luncheons with her cousins.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday March 21, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Northwood Park Funeral Home (16407 NE 25th Avenue, Ridgefield, WA 98642).
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Share-Serving the Hungry and Homeless, 360-448-2121.
