Obituary of David Walter Upton
David Walter Upton
November 29, 1954 - November 13, 2017
David W. Upton, age 62, of Vancouver WA passed away on Monday November 13, 2017 in Vancouver from Lewy Body Dementia.
David was a lifelong resident of Vancouver. He worked at DeWils Industries for 31 years as a builder. He enjoyed spending most of his time with family and friends. His many hobbies included exploring the mountains, bow and rifle hunting, restoring old vehicles, camping, bowling, golfing and traveling.
He is survived by Donna Upton, wife and partner of 26 years; daughter Jessica Smith, step-son Michael Beltran; grandchildren Laurann Smith, Kayla Beltran, Tucker Smith, Alexis Beltran, Tyler Beltran; great-grandson Lakota Kuehl.
He is preceded in death by parents Walter and Laura Upton, sisters Joann Platinais and Judy Upton.
David was a wonderful, kind, fun, giving man. Someone you could count on. He loved life and was always busy. The last 4 years of his life he lost the ability to walk, to talk, to move on his own. His memories we mostly gone. Lewy Body Dementia took away everything that was David except his physical being.
In lieu of a memorial service his wife will be making an "In Honor of David W Upton" donation to the Lewy Body Dementia Association. Please join her in helping to find tests to identify this disease, treatment to ease the suffering, and a cure so no one will ever bear the wrath of this disease. To make an "In Honor of David W Upton" donation go to: www.lbda.org or by mail: The Lewy Body Association, 912 Killian Hill Road SW, Lilburn GA 30047.
In Loving Memory
