I knew Aunr Kay through my dear friend Sharon. Every time I saw Aunt Kay she was always warm and welcoming and clearly adored Sharon and all of her nieces and nephews. Aunt Kay was there for Sharon when Sharon lost her mother and Aunt Kay’s sister. She had such a supportive and generous nature and will surely be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this sad time. I look forward to being able to share in the celebration of he life.

Kay was a true lady, a role model to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was born in Grand Junction, Colorado. Kay received her B.A. and M.A. from Immaculate Heart College and then her Doctorate in Education from the University of Southern California. She was an esteemed educator and principal in the Los Angeles Unified School District, serving as a counselor at Polytechnic High School and then as principal of Cleveland High School in the San Fernando Valley. She retired in 1988. She was initiated into Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, an honor society for key women educators, in 1971, where she served in many leadership capacities. Kay was loved by all who knew her.
