DICK--SO MUCH TO SAY WITH NO TIME LEFT TO TELL YOU HOW MUCH I ENJOYED YOUR FRIENDSHIP SINCE THAT 1st DAY OF JUNIOR HIGH IN 1954. FATE CONNECTED US BECAUSE ONLY THE 8th GRADERS COULD THEN HAVE SEPARATE LOCKERS & WE WERE ASSIGNED TO SHARE ONE. HAVING AS MANY CLASSES TOGETHER AS POSSIBLE IN HIGH SCHOOL FURTHER BONDED US AS DID OUR SPORTS TOGETHER. YOU DIDN'T WRESTLE BUT WERE MY BIGGEST SUPPORTER. I'VE NEVER FORGOTTEN THE SEVERAL MONTHS THAT I LIVED WITH YOU & YOUR PARENTS & I TOOK YOUR DADS BEHAVIOR AS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT A FATHER SHOULD BE LIKE. BUT I'M NOT SURE I SUCCEEDED IN THAT FIELD. MY ONE REGRET IS THAT I DIDN'T GET UP TO SEE YOU AGAIN IN OCTOBER OF LAST YEAR ASSUMING YOU'D BE FINE LIKE YOU ALWAYS SOUNDED, SO OPTIMISTIC ABOUT YOUR HEALTH CONDITION WHEN WE SPOKE. I WILL REMEMBER YOU ALWAYS & THINK OF YOU OFTEN--BULLDOG BUDDY RON--
