Mary Ann Ruth Fitzgibbon

Mary Ann Fitzgibbon of Vancouver Wa passed away on Monday December 17th. She was 86 years old.

Mary Ann grew up in Aberdeen Wa ,one of 7 children born to Oscar and Eleanor Thompson. She graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1949 and then moved to Vancouver Wa where she lived ever since.

She was a mother of seven children, grandmother to seventeen and great grandmother to fifteen.

Mary Ann retired from working in the chem lab at Bonneville Power Ross substation.

She was a fabulous mother,champion of women and women's sports, lover of nature,music,sports and art all of which she exuberiently shared with her children and friends.

Painter,gardener,knitter,coach,jitterbug dancer,talented maker of many things. She made a hard life fun.

Resilient,funny,courageous,long-suffering,inspiring.

She was one tough cookie who was deeply loved and will be deeply missed by many.

There will be an open house celebration of her life on Sunday January 27th at the Historic Covington House in Vancouver WA at 4201 Main Street, 98663 from 1:30 to 3:30 in the afternoon.
