Thomas D. Allington
Thomas D. Allington, age 77, of Vancouver WA passed away on February 24, 2019 in his home, of natural causes.
He was born in 1942 in Corning NY to Editha Lewella and Lorey James Allington.
He grew up and went to school in Corning NY, graduated high school, and then proudly served in the US Air Force for 7 years during the Vietnam War. After completing his service in the military he returned to school and earned his teaching degree. He was a middle school Special Education teacher for most of his life and later worked caring for adult mentally and physically disabled.
He enjoyed painting and tinkering with cars but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his siblings: Betty, Mary Lou, Jackie, and Donnie. Also, his daughter Laurie and his grandchildren: Codi, Rosa, and Thomas and his great-grandson Desmond.
He will be laid to rest as a proud member of the US Armed Forces and a “Loving Family Man” on Monday March 4, 2019 at 12:30pm at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland OR.
