Cecil Vernon Gard, 91, passed peacefully with his family by his side, on Saturday, April 13th, 2019.
The family patriarch was a Korean War veteran and worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for many years. After retirement, he enjoyed having coffee with friends, tinkering in his shop and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Gard, Sister Joy Collins, Children Wanda Dunn, Dennis Gard and Dan Gard, Grandchildren Renee Johnson, Roxanne Dunn, Toni Cannon, Scott Gard, Dina Gard, Great- Grandchildren, Orrin, Madison and Kjartan.
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Estella Gard, siblings Helen Goldsmith, Dick Gard, Peter Gard and son Mike Gard.
Cecil will be forever remembered and missed for his loving mischievous smile, enduring faith, moments of stubbornness and most of all the unconditional love and devotion to his family and friends.
