She was born to the late Jesus Terlaje & Antonia Garrido Quitugua on February 24, 1947 in her Native Island of Guam. She graduated from High school and received her Bachelors Degree in Education at the the University Of Guam.
In addition to her love of teaching, Terry enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, dancing playing the piano or organ and singing. She was a woman of many talents: An amazing cook, making many delicious Chamorro dishes; a wonderful dancer, she enjoyed dancing chacha and jitterbug to name a few. She was also well known as a recording artist in Guam, recording her first album in 1978 entitled, “Meskla Uno”. She was in a band and enjoyed performing in front of a crowd at various parties and local organizations throughout the Island. As time went on, she bowed out of the limelight, but continued to sing and play her piano with her family. She leaves behind countless precious memories and her appreciation and love for music to her children, Grandchildren and Great-Grand children. She will always be remembered, cherished, & loved within their hearts.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank our mom's caregivers, Paula, Moise, Maria, and the staff at Royal Quality Adult Foster Care Home for taking great care of her.
