Steve was my teammate since I came onboard TriMet seven years ago. He was ever cheerful, friendly, and helpful. I was thankful for his willingness to share the wealth of knowledge he had about transit operations and the company. He was a strong partner when we worked jointly on projects. Steve had a great sense of humor, from charming to hilarious to irreverent, and I loved hearing the many funny stories he'd share. I'll miss the yummy treats he'd bring in from his vegetable garden almost as much as I'll miss him. About a year ago, I adopted two of the many feral cats he and his family caught, tamed, and re-homed. I'll always be grateful to Steve for my little darlings!

So glad we got to work together. I will miss working with you, your fun stories of your adventures, family and cats. I will miss the delicious family bagels, cookies, and veggies from the garden you used to share with us all year long. Thank you for the laughs and making it fun to come to work. I'm so thankful that you also gave me Little One Tiger Lily. You'll be forever missed and big hugs and love to you and your loved ones.

We sat on the Accident Review and Appeals committee together for several years, we enjoyed going out to lunch and always talked about his past work adventures and his family. He had a passion for people and always pleasant to be around. I will for ever miss him.

He spoke of his family with pride and love. His stories, sense of humor, smile and laughter will be missed. Until we meet again.
