These are pretty grainy photos since they were screen captured from VHS video. One is a photo of Joyce and her fellow Sweet Adolines singing at my wife's and my wedding. The other where she's sitting is where she's congratulating us.

It has been a long time since I last saw Joyce.
From 1983 to 1996, I grew up across the street from Joyce and Jim in Pinebrook. It was always a pleasure to see and talk with both she and Jim. I remember how she loved her teaching job, her family, students, and the foster kids she looked after.
When things started going downhill with my mom as I was working away from home and attending college, Joyce was one of the many people who supported her when I couldn't from afar. I will always remember and appreciate that.
A few years after my mom passing, I had invited her and Jim to my wedding on March 21, 1998. She eagerly accepted and asked if she could have her Sweet Adolines friends accompany her. The recital was magical and I'll always have this memory of her, Jim and her friends who were so wonderful.
Joyce made the world a better place and she will be missed. I only wish I had stayed in touch.
I would like to express my deep condolences to her family and friends who were with her to the end. If you are one of them reading this, I wish you well.
