Obituary of John S Lane

John S. Lane Beloved Father and Husband passed away August 18, 2021, due to injuries sustained from a car accident. He leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Bernyce Lane. Daughters Stephanie, Mieke, and Dollie. With his eldest daughter Jo, preceding him in death. He also has one son, Larry. He leaves behind seven grandchildren, with one preceding him in death, and one great grandchild. John was a retired veteran. He was part of both the Marine Corps and the Air Force. He served his country and saw active duty in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. They were fortunate during their military years to have lived all over the world. Once retired from the Military, John and Bernyce made their home in Topeka, KS where they continued to raise their family. John retired once more, this time from Kansas Power and Light after a long career. He briefly ran his on electrical business, and then went on to enjoy full retirement. John and Bernyce decided to go on another adventure and moved permanently to the Pacific Northwest to be with their children. John will be cremated for his final rest. He will forever be loved and we will forever be blessed to have had him in our lives.
