Raymond Anthony Stern age 74 died peacefully surrounded by his two daughters and their families on October 15, 2021 at his eldest daughters home in Vancouver, WA after battling Leukemia, COPD and most recently a Glioblastoma.
Raymond Jerome Anthony Tschacher was born May 18, 1947 in Portland, Oregon to Viola Emma Hintz and Raymond Jerome Tschacher. He later assumed the name of his stepfather and became Raymond Anthony Stern. He graduated from Jesuit High School and enlisted in the Army from which he was honorably discharged in 1970. Ray later served as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff with the Washington County Patrol from 1972-1980 before changing to a life long standing career in construction specializing in residential remodeling.
Ray met and married Michelle Faye Wolfe on February 14, 1975 and they were divorced 1995. He never remarried. Ray is survived by his 3 adult children: Melanie Byma, Nichole Stern and Richard Stern and 9 grandchildren: Chaylan Ramirez, Nyahana Byma, Alayaah Brizzee, Aubriee Brizzee, Ellijah Brizzee, Emmalyn Byma, Olivia Stern, Kinsely Brizzee and Willow Stern.
Memorial Service / Celebration of Life will be held at Summerfield in the Club House located at 10650 Summerfield Dr, Tigard, OR 97224 on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 1PM. Light refreshments will be served.
