Obituary of Wayne A Harris

Wayne Alvin Harris passed away at his home on December 21st, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. He was born to Doc and Bessie Harris July 9th, 1930 in Sunnyside, Washington. He was the third of seven children (5 boys and 2 girls). He was raised on a farm in Mabton, Washington where he developed his tireless work ethic and remarkable sense of humor.
Wayne worked for Carnation Milk Company for 26 years in Eastern Washington.
Then he moved to Battle Ground and worked for his brother Dick in the Retread Tire Shop for 5 years. He married his best friend Dorothy Hall in 1976. Together they owned and operated a laundry mat and also a mini storage in Battle Ground. Wayne then started a new career in Real Estate in 1980. Wayne and Dorothy purchased Battle Ground Realty in 1982 and he spent the next 27 years in the Real Estate business. As he was a busy man, Wayne also took on a position to be a member of the Battle Ground City Council until moving outside of the city limits.
Wayne loved most spending time with family and friends. Building many wonderful memories, camping, snowmobiling and relaxing in Surprise, Arizona. His grandchildren were a special joy to him. His warmth and humor will be missed by all.
He is proceeded in death by his parents and brother Bill, Ralph, Dick, Roger, brother-in-law John Comstock, Son-in-law Al Castillo, and granddaughter Lacey Hall. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, sisters Juanez (Leroy) Sharpe, and Darlene Comstock, children Ron (Delphine), Mike (Joyce), Radell, Rita (Chad), Martin (Rhonda), Marsha (Roger), Todd Hall, Troy Hall, Randy (Angie) Hall, and DeEtte Gibson. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Wayne was a member of Happy Trails Christian Fellowship in Suprise, Arizona and also New Heights Church in Battle Ground, Washington.
Life, memories and love are the greatest gifts he could leave with each of us. He requested that there be no service. It would be greatly appreciated if donations could be made to the NICU Unit at
