Obituary of George Edward Hultman
Please share a memory of George to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that we announce that, on July 25th, 2022, George E. Hultman passed away surrounded by loved ones due to complications from a recent surgery. George is preceded in death by his father Lawrence Hultman, his mother Alverta Hultman and his brother Roy Hultman. He leaves behind his brothers Joe and Paul Hultman and sisters Patricia McClellan and Linda Cochran, his children Tara Greer, Jessica Bailey and Wendy Korhonen as well as his grandchildren, Keara, Emma, Taylor, Mason, Abby and Kody and mother to his children Joyce Browning.
George Hultman was born October 26th, 1949, in Kane Pennsylvania. After graduating from high school, George enlisted in the Marines. Following time served in Vietnam, he ended his military service in California. Despite the war, he enjoyed the 60’s, he frequented Disneyland and loved concerts (including Woodstock in 1969) and sports events. George later moved with friends and settled in Oregon, where he met Joyce Browning at ITE electronics. On June 7th, 1974, they married and had 3 daughters. George worked many places but ended up retiring from Boeing.
George loved to help people. Even at times he had very little, if a friend needed something, he would do anything in his power to give it to them. He was so kind that at times ex-boyfriends of his daughters or sons of friends, would come to him with problems or just to visit. George threw an excellent BBQ (most famous for his rotisserie chicken). He loved the Steelers, fishing, reading, playing Chess and Horseshoes and would watch any old western a couple hundred times. His record player and stereo were his pride and joy (other than his children.) George was happiest surrounded by friends, family and loved ones. He was always there for his daughters and grandkids and was recently reunited with Joyce after a 20+ year break. He was happy and fulfilled when he passed and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
We do not have information about a service yet but will announce it when more information is available.
