Rick was the best friend and neighbor. He was willing to help with a project, large or small. Tom and I learned a lot from him. He introduced us to new things like different types of garlic, which we grew and enjoyed for many years.
He had many interests and put his heart and soul into them.
The four of us shared dinners, and a treat after eating was listening to Rick play one of his acoustic guitars. There was nothing better.
I always enjoyed stopping by and seeing whatever new he had made for the home or the farm. He was so inventive.
I will miss you Rick.

God gave Rick a plethora of gifts: musical ability on multiple instruments, a through understanding of how to apply the principals of physics...(as in suspend a ladder in thin air to pick fruit off the top of the tree!), his ability to create beautiful and functional furniture, the list goes on and on!. He was a problem solver and enjoyed the challenge of tackling a new activity or sport.Rick will be missed.

I remember meeting Rick at the Homestead Inn where we were both involved in their weekly jam sessions. We became good friends through our music and remained so until his passing. Rick was always generous with his time and knowledge. He and wife Paulie took my wife and I under their wing for shooting sports and reloading. Rick also helped me in various woodworking projects, and was very patient will all my questions. We also enjoyed many kayak adventures together, and a few camping trips. Rick always seemed to know a little about everything and was always happy to share that knowledge. He will be sorely missed. God picked up a heck of a guitar player!
