Obituary of Catalina Teresa Castor
Please share a memory of Catalina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On March 6th , we announced the peaceful passing of our unimaginably kind, loving, caring, brave, generous, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, who entered the heavens with her son.
Catalina Teresa Castor was born on December 30, 1955. She was 67 years old when she entered heaven.
She met her husband in 1972 and it was love at first sight. They married on July 6th, 1974 and were together for 50 years. Her marriage and her love for her husband was evident with every glance she made towards him. She dreamed of being a wife and a mother her whole life. Family was her biggest joy.
She brought a joyful presence in the room. Catalina loved deeply with all she did. Catalina loved showering others with love. She loved holidays and birthdays. She spent hours finding the perfect gift for each person. She loved laughing, jokes, and had a feisty spunky side. Even in her last hours she told her stories, laughed, and joked with her loved ones. She smiled with joy daily. Truly, she brought beauty into all she did.
Catalina did a variety of occupations. She loved working at the airport with her sister in law. She loved working at sub sandwich shops and loved cleaning people's homes, and especially loved being homemaker.
Pre-deceased family was her son Stevie, her parents Alejandro and Dolores, and her mom Beatrice.
She will be sorely missed and survived by her family, her spouse Steve, and her daughters - Christina and Starlina
Grandchildren were Christian, Maria, Elijah, Immanuel, and Kyannah. Her great grandchildren are Aubrianna, Silas, and Weber. We can’t forget her other favorites Seth, Andrew, and Lily. The ways she adored each member of the family is unforgettable.
Oh, she loved her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She would light up when they would walk in the room. Catalina was the type who would play games, play outside, craft or simply get on the ground with them. She couldn't wait to see their faces. Always bringing them treat bags with big smiles. The grandchildren each had a uniquely special relationship with her. Each was special to her in their own ways. Children were always a light in her eyes. She cherished and embraced every moment with them.
Hobbies: She loved cooking. She showed love through her cooking with treats and meals. Her famous dish was brownies (just ask the kids). She loved to make food and serve people all day long. Her husband and the boys loved that. Catalina loved sewing as a young adult making her own clothes. Since she was a little girl, she loved gardening and her plants.
She found a new passion of painting rocks and coloring over the years. She loved crafting and being creative. Catalina loved crossword puzzles. She loved cleaning and missed it. She always loved mirrors, glass items, and having created a nice home. Catalina loved coming to church and hated when she had to miss. She always looked forward to coming each week. She loved dressing up with jewelry and accessories, especially on special occasions. What she loved the most was her family. Her greatest joys were and always will be her family who she loved spending time with.
To say her family and friends will miss her is an understatement. Her legacy of love for family and friends, meaningful acts of love and service will carry on forever. Her legacy lives on in our hearts and rest assured we will see her again.
