Dear Family,
I am so sorry to hear of cousin Joan's passing. While we were not close we were family. I liked Joan, she was a mentor to me as a nurse. I hope we can renew ties with this part of our extended family. In case you don't know the relationship my grandmother and Joan's grandmother were sisters.
