Lida Mary Perry ~ 69
Vancouver, Washington
April 1, 1946 ~ October 29, 2015
Lida “Mary” Perry was born on April 1, 1946 in Spokane, WA to Leonard Robert and Lida Mary Bellman. She went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, October 29, 2015. Mary, as she preferred to be called, was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She and her husband, Charles, were married on August 27, 1966 in Spokane. They recently celebrated their 50th anniversary early with family and friends.
Mary was an avid gardener, and enjoyed sewing, cross stitch, cooking and collecting wooden stacking dolls, butterflies and kitchen items. It was always ok to tease her that she had every kitchen gadget known to man. She also enjoyed her time as a Camp Fire Leader for her daughter Kim, a Cub Scout volunteer with her son, Kevin, and as a 4-H volunteer with daughter, Karen.
Mary accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior as a sophomore in high school after hearing the Bible verse “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.” Acts 16:31, at a Youth For Christ meeting. After this assurance, she was baptized six months later. Mary was a member of Lents Baptist Church for 26 years.
She is survived by her husband, Chuck, and children Karen Goforth (Chris), Kevin Perry, and Kimberly Maurer (Ross). Also surviving her are seven grandchildren: Ashleigh, Reece, Sophie, Jacqueline, Logan, Eli and Hope. Sisters Laura Hetrick and Isla Bell (Gregory) also survive her, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gideons InternationaL. (gideons.org) in her name.
Thank you very much.
